So I was looking at some of my top blog posts recently, and realized that the number one post was my What's In My Bag: School Edition post so I figured I should probably make more structured blog posts, or at least try to. So here are some of my favorite makeup products!
This little tin was once the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, but after much love (I know it looks like there was a lack of love, but the cover broke after being in my bag only once) it looks like its almost time for a new one. This product is amazing and it helps my makeup stay in place even when I'm sweating. For those who are wondering, I have it in the shade 001 Transparent.
These are probably my two favorite lip products, besides my handy-dandy chapstick. On top is the NARS Satin Lip Pencil in the shade Palais Royal. This color 1. looks amazing 2. is also really nourishing and stays on a lot longer than I originally expected. Depending on what I eat, I probably only have to reapply this about 2 times a day. The second product is actually one of the first makeup products I ever tried/got. It is the Fresh Sugar Lip Tint in Rose. I'd like to say that it isnt worth it for the price (I know its a bit expensive at $22.50, and I'll be honest I do wish we got more product for that price) but then I'd be lying to you all. It is so nourishing on the lips and this color especially is really complimentary on almost any skin tone, plus it lasts for a while. If I didn't love this product I wouldn't have been using it for the past 4 years, trust me.
This is the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and I will admit that it is a more recent favorite of mine. It had been on my list of things to get for awhile (so is the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, but maybe another day) and I am so glad I did. This concealer is good for both covering up spots and under eye problems. I think unfortunately the shade I have (Vanilla) is only slightly too light for my dark circles under my eyes, so I may need to get the one only slightly darker to really conquer them but I'm still in love with this concealer.
Next comes my two favorite nail polishes, both of which are by Essie. The purple-redish one is called Bahama Mama and the blue one is called Style Cartel :) I think Essie nail polishes are so great, they last a long time with out chipping (depending on if I get it done or how well I do it myself I'll admit) and they have the cutest names. My favorite name I've come across was a winter edition color, I'm pretty sure it was a dark blue-ish green color and it was called Mind Your Mittens! How cute is that name!?
Up now are my perfumes. They are both the Elizabeth and James Nirvana scents, but I got the Black rollerball and the White bottle. The White one I liked slightly better but I still couldn't part with the Black so I got that one to put on my pulse points. The White scent is a mix of peony (which is also my favorite flower in case you were wondering), muguet, a light musk which is just the perfect scent for me. The Black scent is made up of vanilla, sandalwood and violet. They both smell so delicious I highly recommend checking them out if you're on the market for a new perfume.
Last but definitely not least we have a liquid liner and an eyebrow pencil, but I'll start with the liner. This is the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in the shade Trooper, which is basically just black. The biggest difference with this between say the Stila liner, is the tip. This pen has a felt tip instead of the normal brush tip used on pen liquid liners and I feel like that makes all the difference when I'm making my wings. I feel like I have more control when I use this plus I've gotten a lot more compliments on my wings since using it. Beneath that is the Anastasia Perfect Brow Pencil in the shade Caramel. This had been on my list for a while and my eyebrows look a thousand times better since I've started using this product. I used to use the Revlon Brow Fantasy (which if you can't afford to buy this the Revlon is a decent substitute) and the difference is significant. I have no idea what it is, maybe it's the shade or the way I fill my brows in now but they just look amazing now.
(Also I know there's a purple bottle in the first picture on the top, but in the middle of writing I decided I didn't want to put that hair care product in. If you are still wondering it is the Aussie Leave-In Conditioner called Hair Insurance)
All right that's all I have to say for now everybody so I'll let you carry on with your day and have a lovely rest of your weekend, ciao!
